Understanding the IoT Install Check interface and parameters

Getting Started

What you need: The 15-digit IMEI number from the IoT device you want to check.
  1. Enter IMEI: Type or scan the device's IMEI number in the input field
  2. Click "Check Device": The system will retrieve and display device information
  3. Review the results: Use the information to verify installation status

Understanding the Results Page

Device Overview Card
Parameter Description What to Look For
Item Code Unique identifier for the device model from our ERP system Verify it matches the physical device
Warranty Status Current warranty coverage status Active or Expired
Last Message When the device last communicated with our servers Should be recent if your device is active
Signal Strength Cellular signal quality at device location Good/Fair/Poor - affects communication reliability
Location Service Type of positioning system being used GPS, Network-based
Status Indicators Card

Visual indicators showing the health status of different device aspects:

Warranty Icon
Green = Active, Yellow = Expired
Signal Icon
Green = Good, Gray = No data
Location Icon
Green = Available, Gray = Not configured
Battery Icon
Green = Good, Yellow = Low, Red = Critical
Battery Information
Parameter Description Normal Range
Battery State Current charge level as a percentage Above 20% for normal operation
Battery Voltage Current voltage reading from the battery Normally between 3-5 Volts
Note: Battery information may not be available for all device types.
Activity Logs

The results page may show various activity logs depending on the device type and configuration:

Runtime Logs

Shows when the device was active and running, helping to verify proper installation and usage patterns.

Trip Logs

Records vehicle movement periods, useful for confirming the device is properly tracking vehicle activity.

DIN2 Logs

Digital input 2 activity, often used for additional equipment monitoring (e.g., Brush motor, suction motor).

DIN3 Logs

Digital input 3 activity, used for additional equipment monitoring.

Auto-Reload Feature

The results page includes an auto-reload feature that refreshes the data every 30 seconds:

  • Enable: Check the "Auto-reload every 30 seconds" checkbox
  • Persistent: Your preference is saved and will be remembered for future sessions
  • Live Monitoring: Useful for monitoring device status during installation or troubleshooting
Tip: Use auto-reload when testing device connectivity or waiting for recent changes to appear in the system.

Troubleshooting

Possible causes:
  • IMEI number entered incorrectly
  • Device not yet registered in the system
  • Device is a model not in our database
Solutions:
  • Double-check the IMEI number (15 digits)
  • Verify the IMEI from the device label or packaging
  • Contact support if the device should be in the system

Possible causes:
  • Poor cellular signal at installation location
  • Device not properly powered
  • SIM card issues
  • Device configuration problems
Solutions:
  • Check signal strength indicators
  • Verify power connections and voltage
  • Test in a different location with better signal
  • Contact technical support for configuration assistance

Low battery warnings:
  • Battery state below 20%
  • Voltage readings below 2-3 volts
  • Inconsistent power readings
Actions to take:
  • Check all power connections
  • Monitor battery levels over time
